“Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.”” Acts 2: 38-39 NLT

What is Water Baptism?

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward commitment and it is a public expression of your personal, wholehearted dedication to Jesus as your Savior.
According to Scripture, water baptism is an ordinance that follows repentance. Once one has repented of their sin and accepted the forgiveness that is provided for us by Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross, only then is water baptism all that God has intended for it to be. Without repentance, baptism is simply a religious ceremony that essentially means nothing in the eyes of the Lord.
Our hope for you is that as you are baptized, you experience a closeness with the Lord that you have never experienced before and that you experience being filled with the Holy Spirit at that time. Once you’ve been baptized, it is important that you rely on the Holy Spirit to give you strength to live a life that reflects the depth of the commitment to the Lord Jesus and his teachings that you have publicly expressed through water baptism.
